Publisher Masterclass Workshop Sharing Your Story

The Program

Session 1.
We will discuss who you are, what is your why and ways I feel that I will be able to help you move forward in your writing journey. We look at your Work In Progress and develop editing strategies to get your manuscript publisher ready.

Session 2
In this session we look more indepth at the before and after picture, where you are now and where you want to be. We discuss which publication pathway would be best suited to your story and make an action plan to achieve your goals

Session 3
A strong brand helps you in the same ways it helps a company. It gives you name recognition and helps you sell your products—your books. Author branding should be part and parcel of the business plan you write when you first get the idea for a book. Michelle will give you her ten top tips for creating in the best possible author brand online, as well as practical ways to build your brand in order to create connections with fans, fellow writers and publishers.

Session 4
We will discuss the marketing options available to you, both for promoting your book and your brand. I will give you the tools, contacts and step by step instructions for moving your marketing up to the next level to get ready for the release of your book.

Session 5
By this session, we have goals and are beginning to set in place the actions to achieve this. Now is the time to be really honest, thinking about your identifying any preconceived blocks that might stop you from becoming your most authentic self. Our last session will cover what lies ahead and plan for your triumphant arrival at the destination of your heart’s desire.

Who can apply?

Aspiring picture book authors with a work in progress are invited to apply. Places are limited and applications close the 10th of January. Successful applicants will be contacted at the end of January. International applications welcome.

Cost

Working with motivated, driven and empowering people like you are why I started Share Your Story in the first place. The cost of the program is $500 that can be paid by Paypal or bank transfer. On acceptance, a payment plan of $110 a session can apply.

For every mentor session we run, we provide one day of education to a disadvantaged girl in Cambodia with the help of B1G1.
